Tell us a little bit about yourself
"My name is Filipa Trindade. I come from Portugal, originally from São Tomé and PrÃncipe. I work as a fitness trainer, personal trainer, and yoga teacher. I'm also a Zumba instructor. Besides all the fitness training I've done, I studied sports sciences at the Faculty of Human Kinetics at the University of Lisbon."
Â
How did you get started in the fitness industry?
"I started running when I was ten. Actually, when I was six, I started in gymnastics in primary school. Then I began running when I was ten. My teachers told me I was very good from the beginning. At first, I didn't like it much, but the competition and challenging myself got me hooked, and it has stayed with me until today."
Â
You own a wellness studio, could you share with us the motivation behind it?
"I own a studio in Kilchberg, Switzerland, called Filipa Trindade Fitness & Yoga. What led me to open the studio was the desire to create an environment where people can come and feel safe. I help people do things right rather than just doing a lot. I'm here to help people reach their goals, build muscle, increase mobility, and improve cardio fitness."
Â
Can you share a memorable moment or success story from your time as a fitness instructor?
"There are a few memorable moments. One from my childhood was during a competition. The day before, I had a fever, but I still participated. My teachers asked if I could do it, and that experience taught me to push myself and be resilient. Although I didn't finish the competition, it was a valuable lesson about life's challenges."
Â
How do you stay motivated and maintain your positive energy, especially on challenging days?
"My family. I talk to them every day. They support and encourage me."
Â
What does a typical day in your life look like?
"To do everything I want, I wake up early, around 5:30 or 6:00 AM. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later. I structure my day with alarms for every single activity, be it meditation, yoga, classes, eating, or calls. This keeps everything very efficient."
Â
What is the most direct question you have ever received from your students or clients?
"For me, it's a dumb question when people ask, 'Oh, you're like this because you have good genetics.' It doesn't matter how good your genes are; you have to put in the work."Â

Recommendations for maintaining a healthy lifestyle with a busy schedule?
"Three tips: Sleep well, drink lots of water, and cut your sugars. It's that simple. Just cut the sugars."
Â
What are your future goals and aspiration?
"To be happy and make people happy with their bodies."
Â
What message would you share with your followers and customers about the importance of fitness and well-being?
"You will live better if you feel better. To feel better, you need to do your sports and eat well. So, don't delay it."
